The European Cabin Crew Association (EurECCA) criticised the European Commission’s decision to postpone the review of the EU‑Qatar air transport agreement until the end of 2029 and called for the provisional application of the agreement to be stopped immediately, also demanding a written review report within the current year.

The Commission said the review will run until the end of 2029 before any further steps are taken, while EurECCA argued that the review could only be completed after the current European Parliament and Commission terms end and highlighted concerns about labour and social standards, competition, transparency and flight safety; the European Parliament has also demanded a review and possible suspension of the agreement over corruption allegations linked to the negotiations.
