Versaterm adds native FAA LAANC authorizations to DroneSense platform

Versaterm integrated its native FAA LAANC airspace authorization into Versaterm DroneSense, allowing public safety agencies to request and receive authorizations directly within the platform.

The integration creates a single connected call response workflow that unifies CAD dispatch, drone operations and FAA compliance, reducing coordination time and enabling agencies to manage time‑critical missions such as search and rescue with near‑real‑time processing and automatic compliance reporting; DroneSense is now an FAA‑approved LAANC Secondary Data Service Provider through Versaterm Aloft, and existing customers receive the new capabilities at no additional cost.

Versaterm also announced Michael Pelfrey as Chief Revenue Officer, and an FAA spokesperson said LAANC continues to enable safe and efficient integration of unmanned aircraft into the national airspace system.
