A single‑engine OA‑1K Skyraider II of the U.S. Air Force crashed on 5 October during a training flight after departing Will Rogers National Guard Base and landing at Sundance Airport in Oklahoma, with both crew members unharmed.

The aircraft veered left midway down the runway, stopped on the grass, and its nose dropped before returning to a normal position, leaving the airframe off the runway with twisted propeller blades and grass marks, while the 492nd Special Operations Squadron opened an investigation.
