Singapore Changi Airport has introduced autonomous wheelchairs at arrival gates and an automated immigration system that offers a queue‑free border clearance process.

The airport says the digitalisation effort links data, workflows and processes across its ecosystem, allowing multiple organisations and touchpoints to coordinate and share a common view of passenger journeys.

Why it matters

The automated immigration reduces manpower requirements while strengthening security checks, improving the overall passenger experience for airlines and travel sellers.
