LATAM receives first Embraer E195‑E2 in Brazil

LATAM Airlines took delivery of its first Embraer E195‑E2 at the manufacturer’s plant in São José dos Campos on Thursday.

The order announced in September 2025 comprises 24 firm aircraft with 50 purchase options, for a possible total of 74 units, and the first twelve are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026 followed by another twelve in 2027; the aircraft seat 136 passengers in a 2‑2 layout with up to 20 Premium Economy seats, promise up to 30% lower fuel consumption and a 3,000‑nautical‑mile range, and will initially support 14 aircraft on 42 routes, expanding LATAM’s domestic network from 44 to 67 airports and adding eight new routes and four new destinations including Cabo Frio, Macaé, Ji‑Paraná and Rondonópolis.
