Aero Vodochody announced a Memorandum of Understanding with Thales Belgium on 5 October 2026 to integrate Thales 70 mm rocket pods into the L‑39 Skyfox for counter‑UAS capability.

The L‑39 will be fitted with Thales FZ800 seven‑round pods that launch FZ275 laser‑guided rockets and will carry a SiNAB Phoenix targeting pod on the centreline, which provides GPS‑enabled SATNAV, INS, MANET radio, Link 16, combat net radio, video downlink, laser pointer, designator and range finder; the aircraft was first shown with the payload at the Dubai Air Show in November 2025 and the Hungarian Air Force operates at least three of the 12 Skyfoxes it ordered.
