Sud Projet, an Airbus supplier, will construct a new plant in Montauban after the municipal council approved the sale of several parcels totaling 10,297 m² on 5 October 2026.

The parcels were sold for €750,000 excluding tax and Sud Projet estimates the new plant will cost €3.4 million, the mayor announced the sale at the council meeting, and the land had previously been considered by Alufer and Actichem, who did not secure financing; an opposition member questioned the land’s past and job guarantees.
