Balmaceda Airport launches new terminal with expanded capacity

The new Balmaceda Airport began operations equipped with aviation technology for complex conditions, and its passenger terminal was inaugurated by Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport Louis de Grange alongside Deputy Minister Claudio Alvarado and Minister of Defense Fernando Barros.

The terminal, covering 12,391 m², will handle more than 1 million passengers per year and increases airport capacity by 250%, expanding from two to five gates. It includes five boarding bridges, six aircraft parking stands, 13 aviation parking stands, and 100 vehicle parking spaces, with an investment exceeding US$50 million through a concession system.
