Hollywood Burbank/Bob Hope Airport opened its new Elevate BUR passenger terminal on October 13, 2026, replacing a 96‑year‑old facility.

The $1.3 billion terminal is 53 percent larger than the old building, retains the same 14 gates, and is the United States’ second all‑electric airport terminal, targeting LEED Silver certification. A new main entrance at Winona Avenue and Hollywood Way replaces the former Thornton Avenue entrance, and a seven‑level parking structure now sits directly across from the terminal while the longtime Lot E standby closes permanently.
