Civilian plane makes emergency landing at Hill Air Force Base

A civilian aircraft experiencing engine trouble landed inside Hill Air Force Base near the intersection of Wardleigh Road and Perimeter Road, close to the base's north gate, on Thursday morning; the pilot was the sole occupant and was not injured, and the north gate was temporarily closed.

Safety officials at Hill coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration to investigate the cause of the emergency landing and to arrange removal of the aircraft.
