Doctor who survived 2020 cardiac arrest at Dublin Airport joins Imran Khan medical board

Dr Mohammad Farqad Alamgir survived a cardiac arrest at Dublin Airport in February 2020, remaining unconscious for about 17 minutes before being revived by airport staff who performed CPR and used a defibrillator.

He was transferred to Dublin’s Mater Hospital for emergency heart bypass surgery, recovered, and later returned to Dublin Airport to meet the emergency team; he now serves on the medical board that examined Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on August 10 2026 and is primarily based in Lahore, working with Punjab government hospitals and the private healthcare sector.
