Maldives postpones 17% tourism GST for foreign operators to April 2027

The Maldives will delay the 17% tourism GST on foreign tour operators from its original start date of 1 October 2026 to 1 April 2027, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Ameen announced publicly, and foreign operators must register for GST with the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority by 31 October.
