The Congressional Research Service says at least 81 US warplanes, helicopters and drones have been destroyed or damaged in the conflict with Iran since late February, and the cost of those losses could reach $3.3 billion.

The CRS tally includes one F‑35A Lightning II, 12 F‑15E Strike Eagle fighters, seven KC‑135 Stratotankers, two A‑10 Thunderbolt IIs, two MC‑130J special‑operations aircraft and one E‑3 Sentry listed as damaged, and it records at least 45 MQ‑9 Reaper drones lost.
