The Responsible Biometrics Travel Industry Coalition was created by ACI EUROPE, Amadeus, IATA, IDEMIA Public Security and SITA to ask EU policymakers to back voluntary, secure biometric use in travel while protecting passenger choice and privacy.

The coalition seeks technology‑neutral rules in the EU Digital Omnibus that permit voluntary biometric data use with safeguards and provide non‑biometric alternatives, citing a study showing 74% of surveyed travelers would share biometric data instead of showing a passport or boarding pass.
