Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the first Canadian airport slated for privatization by the federal government, announced by Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Indigenous investors are expected to take a minority stake of up to 20 percent, with Musqueam First Nation and the MST Development Corp. among those considering investments, while majority control will be sold to institutional investors such as the Public Sector Pension Investment Board, and the government will retain ownership of the land and assets.
