United CEO outlines daily routine as DFW named most stressful US airport

United Airlines chief Scott Kirby described his personal habits while Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport topped a study of traveler stress.

Kirby’s daily habits

United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby said he sleeps 8.5 hours each night and wakes between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. without an alarm. He limits his daily meetings to no more than four hours, spends about three hours reading, averages more than 20,000 steps per day for four consecutive years and reads roughly one and a half books per week.

DFW ranked most stressful

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was ranked the most stressful U.S. airport in a study of traveler experience.

DFW delay and cancellation rates

Nearly 28 % of flights at DFW were delayed and 2.76 % were canceled. Delays at DFW have climbed 33.67 % since 2021.

O’Hare stress ranking

Chicago O’Hare International Airport was ranked second most stressful, with 24.68 % of its flights delayed.
