Joby Aviation targets 2027 production and 2029 FAA certification amid investment forecasts

Joby Aviation says it has completed most of the fourth FAA certification stage, plans to build four eVTOL aircraft per month by 2027 and expects certification before the end of 2029, while analysts project its share price could reach $15 by that time.
Certification progress
Joby Aviation reports that about 75% of the fourth stage of the FAA certification process is complete and expects to receive FAA-type certification well before the end of 2029. In September, the company began flight demonstrations in Texas for the White House‑backed eVTOL Integration Pilot Program.
Production goals
The company aims to have manufacturing capacity to produce four aircraft each month in 2027 and plans to increase production capacity further by 2029 with assistance from its manufacturing partner Toyota Motor.
Financial outlook
Analysts predict Joby’s shares could be worth $15 by the end of 2029, which would make a $5,000 investment worth roughly $13,000 after three years.
Revenue and acquisitions
Joby’s current revenue comes largely from Blade’s passenger business, and the company plans to acquire Resonant Sciences to expand into defense work.
