Lockheed Martin awarded Boeing a contract worth about US$14.7 billion to expand production of PAC‑3 MSE seekers used in Patriot air‑defence systems, announced on Monday 5th.

The deal is part of a seven‑year agreement aimed at tripling production of the components, with Boeing planning to enlarge its seeker production unit, modernise facilities, strengthen the supply chain, and alter processes and quality controls, creating hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in Huntsville, Alabama.
