The Royal Moroccan Air Force flew its first F‑16 Block 72 on Tuesday, marking the start of flight testing before delivery to the service.

The Block 72 is the latest Fighting Falcon version featuring modernized avionics, new sensors, updated mission systems and safety features, and Morocco is also building an 8,000‑square‑metre MRO facility in Benslimane that will initially handle heavy maintenance of C‑130 Hercules before expanding to platforms such as the F‑16.
