Baggage handlers Thaddeus Porter, 42, of LaPlace, and Morris Robinson, 18, of Metairie, were arrested on September 24 and charged with felony theft of property worth more than $25,000 at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

The theft involved a Patek Philippe Aquanaut valued at $79,050 that was packed in a passenger's checked luggage from Los Angeles to New Orleans and was missing when the bags were collected, after both locked suitcases were forcibly opened; airport security footage led investigators to the two men, who each posted a $25,000 bond and were released on September 25, with a court date set for November 23.
