Emirates marks 15 years of Geneva‑Dubai service with modernised Boeing 777

Emirates began operating between Geneva and Dubai on 1 June 2011 and now offers two daily flights on the route, which in August 2024 became the first destination in the airline’s network to be served by a modernised four‑class Boeing 777.

Since 2011 the airline has carried more than 3.4 million passengers on over 15 588 flights, with 2025 seat occupancy at 74 % in First Class and 86 % in Business Class; SkyCargo has moved more than 179 925 tonnes of freight, 50 % of export freight to the Middle East and 32 % to the UAE, and Emirates opened its first Swiss Travel Store in Geneva in May 2025.
