Aeroitalia urges fuel market stabilization and airport tariff reforms

Aeroitalia CEO Gaetano Intrieri said rising fuel prices are pressuring airlines and threatening the economic sustainability of air transport, and called for operational efficiency improvements and concrete measures to stabilise the European jet‑fuel market.

Chief commercial officer Massimo Di Perna described air transport as strategic for Italy’s economy and tourism, highlighted the need for structural reforms and updated European airport tariff regulations, and proposed applying the ‘single till’ model to the Italian market to balance aviation and non‑aviation revenues.
