Air India and Singapore Airlines announced an expansion of their commercial cooperation that will take effect on 15 October 2026, allowing customers to book eligible flights between India and Singapore on a standalone basis through either carrier’s website, app or appointed travel agencies.

The change covers 126 weekly flights linking Singapore with eight Indian cities – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai – and removes the requirement that a codeshare‑booked flight must include a segment operated by the partner airline. Singapore Airlines holds a 25.1 percent stake in Air India, and together with Tata has allocated €912 million to help Air India recover from a loss‑making year.

Both airlines also plan further customer‑focused initiatives, including enhanced reciprocal mileage accrual, priority check‑in and boarding for elite members, and improved schedule connectivity to reduce layovers.
