JR Kyushu announced that the special express “海幸山幸” will be renewed in spring 2027, with the train suspended from early December and details to be released in mid‑October. Six new green seats will be added in car 2, facing the Pacific Ocean, and will feature folding tables and decorative woodwork above the windows. A new wooden in‑car sales counter will also be installed to sell local specialties, and a new green fare will be introduced for all segments, including Miyazaki to Tateyoshi.
