Southwest launches 'Enter Aeroplane Mode' campaign with points reward

Southwest Airlines launched the ‘Enter Aeroplane Mode’ campaign on 5 October 2026 to encourage Americans to take a break from hectic routines, citing a Southwest‑sponsored survey that found 76% of respondents are experiencing burnout and 68% believe a trip could help them regain control of their time.

The campaign features an interactive ‘Notification Vacation’ component that lets customers convert digital notifications into Rapid Rewards points by uploading a screenshot, offers over 185 million Rapid Rewards points with limits per member, and includes a ‘Burnout Quiz’ that provides stress‑level insights and suggests potential getaways.
