Southwest Airlines introduced its first U.S. airline plugin in ChatGPT on October 6, 2026, developed with OpenAI and Amazon Web Services.

The plugin lets travelers search Southwest destinations, compare cash fares across its four fare categories, and refine itineraries within ChatGPT, but users must move to Southwest.com to enter passenger and payment details and it does not support Rapid Rewards award bookings.
