American Airlines to resume economy meal preorders on DFW‑LAX flights from Oct 20

American Airlines will bring back the option for economy passengers to preorder meals on select Dallas/Fort Worth to Los Angeles flights starting October 20, with ordering opening a week earlier on October 13.

Orders can be placed up to seven days in advance and as late as 20 hours before departure, and passengers are charged only when the meal is delivered; AAdvantage Executive Platinum and ConciergeKey members can preorder at no cost, and the airline plans to expand the route list after a month of trial.
