A Brazilian airline was sentenced by the 14th Civil Special Court of Natal to pay R$8,000 in material damages to each of two elderly passengers and R$450 in moral damages for luggage damage to one passenger.

The passengers missed a connection from Santiago to Natal via Brasília, endured a 12‑hour delay and were re‑accommodated on a flight to Guarulhos, São Paulo, arriving the following day.
