LATAM Airlines will start a direct flight between Santiago and Caracas, aiming to carry more than 50,000 passengers in its first year, with tickets to be sold through LATAM channels and travel agencies.

The new route replaces the previous connection via Bogotá, where LATAM Airlines Colombia had resumed a Bogotá‑Caracas service on 23 February with four weekly flights that have since become daily, and it revives a non‑stop service previously operated by LAN with a Boeing 767‑300ER.

Why it matters

LATAM says the service strengthens connectivity with Venezuela, supporting family and personal travel demand from the Venezuelan community in Chile.
