Swiss President Guy Parmelin is scheduled to arrive at Noida International Airport in Jewar on October 6 as part of a state visit, with security measures tightened along the route.

Visit itinerary

Parmelin will arrive at the airport around 11.30 a.m. on October 6 and spend about two to two‑and‑a‑half hours reviewing the terminal, cargo terminal and business facilities, and meeting airport officials. The visit is part of a state trip scheduled from October 5 to 7 and coincides with the first anniversary of the India‑EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement.

Security arrangements

Four‑layered security arrangements were put in place for the president’s arrival, according to the Joint CP. Security was tightened along expressways and major roads to Jewar, with additional personnel at sensitive locations and restrictions on heavy‑vehicle movement along parts of the route.
