KLM’s third Airbus A350‑900 will be delivered with fully certified Business Class seats, while the first A350‑900 that landed at Amsterdam‑Schiphol on the previous Friday has 34 Business Class seats that lack certification; EASA has approved the seat test results, allowing the certification process to begin.

The A350‑900 is configured with 331 seats – 271 Economy, 26 Premium Comfort and 34 World Business Class – and the first aircraft is scheduled to fly to Toronto, then Montreal, Kilimandscharo, Daressalam, Nairobi and Sansibar; Lufthansa also had to restrict most Business Class seats on a new long‑haul aircraft due to missing certification and the FAA did not approve the attachment of many Collins Aerospace seats on the new Boeing 787‑9.
