The European Regions Airline Association presented its Annual Pulse 2026 report at its General Assembly in Belfast, noting that one quarter of intra‑European capacity is concentrated on 440 routes while another quarter is spread over about 5,700 routes with low passenger volumes, and that nearly four out of five routes with fewer than 50,000 seats per year are served by a single airline.

ERAA called for the European Commission to review the EU aviation strategy and to focus EU Regulation 1008/2008 on connectivity, while rejecting new reporting, social or insolvency obligations where existing rules are sufficient and criticizing EU aid guidelines as not tailored to regional airlines.
