Alat Free Economic Zone airport slated for operation by early 2027

Construction of the Alat Free Economic Zone airport began in April 2024 and the facility is expected to be ready for operation no later than late March or early April 2027.

The airport will initially handle 500,000 tons of cargo per year on a 750‑hectare site, with plans to expand its cargo capacity to at least 2 million tons annually.
