Around 140 flights at Brussels Airport cancelled on 9 Oct due to Alyzia strike

On Friday 9 October, ground‑handler Alyzia staff are expected to join strike action at Brussels Airport. The cancellations include scheduled services between Brussels and Manchester at 10 am and 9.30 pm, as well as departures from Manchester at 8.30 am and 1.30 pm, and flights to and from Paris, Budapest, Madrid and Chicago.

Brussels Airlines flights to Heathrow at 4.55 pm and from Heathrow at 8 pm are also cancelled, affecting carriers such as Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, Air Arabia and United Airlines, while British Airways, Ryanair, easyJet and Wizz Air remain unaffected. A further strike is planned for 12 October but is not expected to impact flights.
