- Epic Aircraft announced that the Federal Aviation Administration has certified Garmin Emergency Autoland for its E1000 AX single‑engine turboprop, which includes multiple activation buttons throughout the cabin.
- The system can trigger automatically if it determines the pilot is unable to fly, evaluates suitable airports based on runway length, distance, terrain, weather and remaining fuel, then manages the approach, landing, brings the aircraft to a stop and shuts down the engine; Garmin’s emergency landing technology has also been approved for several other aircraft.
