Travel industry coalition urges EU to adopt technology‑neutral rules for voluntary

ACI EUROPE, Amadeus, IATA, IDEMIA Public Security and SITA have formed the Responsible Biometrics Travel Industry Coalition to ask EU policymakers to adopt technology‑neutral rules for voluntary, secure biometric use in travel.

The coalition cites a survey in which 74% of travelers said they would be willing to share biometric data instead of showing a passport or boarding pass.
