Taiwan and the United Kingdom signed the Science, Innovation and Technology Agreement (SITA) in London, with Deputy Chair of the National Science Council Chen Bingyu representing Taiwan. The pact shifts cooperation from point‑to‑point project exchanges to long‑term institutional integration, combining the UK's research, chip design and algorithm strengths with Taiwan's advanced semiconductor manufacturing and hardware supply chain capacity. SITA also emphasizes building a sustainable talent pipeline and moves toward R&D co‑creation, standard interoperability and complementary supply chains.
