- Between 26 and 28 September, about 10,000 pieces of luggage accumulated at Suvarnabhumi Airport because of flooding, and Thai Airways said on 29 September that roughly 5,000 bags were still unmanaged. By 30 September authorities reported that the total buildup remained around 10,000 items, with about 8,000 still pending management and 1,800 already returned to owners.
- Around 100 Royal Thai Air Force personnel were deployed to help unload and sort the luggage, the Thai government gave Thai Airways a few days to fully resolve the situation, and the airline temporarily restricted some flights and opened a 24‑hour self‑collection point for passengers to retrieve bags after electronic checks.
