A Gulfstream G100 operated by Latitude Air Ambulance disappeared while flying from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport around 1 a.m. on 3 October 2026, and a debris field was later located off the coast of Nantucket.

The U.S. Coast Guard reported finding the debris field 20 miles from Nantucket and confirmed it was linked to the missing aircraft, which was registered C‑GRJP and known as Heartbeat 104 Medevac; all six occupants – a mother, her son, two pilots and two medical staff – are presumed dead. Search efforts varied in reported scope, with one update citing a 1,644‑square‑mile area covered in about 27 hours, while other reports noted a 66‑hour effort spanning more than 4,400 miles before rescue operations were suspended.

The Canadian Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation with assistance from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, and the U.S. Coast Guard will hold a press conference on 4 October 2026 at 11:00 at its Boston base.
