US freight carrier Kalitta Air has placed an order for eight Airbus A350F freighters, marking its first purchase from a European manufacturer.

The airline is still evaluating the A350F platform and has not yet made a final decision, while negotiations with the Air Line Pilots Association have been ongoing since the end of 2024; Kalitta currently operates more than 24 Boeing 747 and 777 freighters.
