Derek Cheng will become Country Director for Singapore and CEO of Thales Solutions Asia on October 1, 2026, succeeding Emily Tan who is leaving the group for a new opportunity.

Cheng will oversee more than 2,000 employees across four Singapore sites, including Thales’ largest multi‑module digital identity and security manufacturing centre at Ayer Rajah Crescent and its largest avionics production and MRO facility at Changi North Rise, after previously serving as Vice‑President and Head of Commercial for Asia‑Pacific at Vertical Aerospace.
