On 6-7 October rocket attacks linked to the Houthis hit Abha and Riyadh airports, killing three people and injuring 36, and a Saudia Airlines aircraft at King Khalid International Airport was damaged and later seen burning.

Turkey said it will not send troops to Saudi Arabia for offensive operations against Yemen, limiting any deployment to defensive roles and planning to send additional personnel, pilots and aircraft to protect Saudi infrastructure pending parliamentary approval.

Pakistan’s air force also took part in defensive operations against the Houthis under the Mecca defense pact, though it said its deployment is not intended for direct ground attacks.
