Vietjet to start Ho Chi Minh City–Colombo–Maldives service on 5 Dec 2026

Vietjet announced a new route linking Ho Chi Minh City with the Maldives via Colombo, scheduled to begin on 5 December 2026 with three round‑trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The service will use Airbus A320 aircraft, with outbound departures from Tan Son Nhat at 07:05 arriving in Colombo at 10:50 and continuing to Malé at 13:10; the return leg departs Malé at 14:10, reaches Colombo at 16:05 and arrives back in Ho Chi Minh City at 23:50. Tickets for all segments are on sale and a promotion from 8 to 10 October 2026 offers Eco tickets at zero VND and Deluxe tickets at a 20% discount for travel between 8 October 2026 and 30 September 2027.
