Skyscanner finds Indian travelers plan more trips abroad and higher spend in 2027

Skyscanner’s 2027 travel trends indicate that 58% of Indians intend to travel abroad more next year, while 56% plan to increase spending on flights and 44% on accommodation.

The survey also shows that 67% have changed or considered changing a holiday destination for better value, 87% feel confident using AI to plan and book travel, 43% favor carnival experiences for music‑based trips, 38% prefer unique venues such as volcanoes, pyramids and caves, and 27% say genre is the biggest factor in music‑led travel.
