Hong Kong Customs arrests two passengers for drug trafficking at HKG

Hong Kong Customs detected two drug trafficking cases involving incoming passengers at Hong Kong International Airport on October 7 and October 8.

A 24‑year‑old Mainland male arriving from Penang was found with about 2 kg of suspected cocaine in his carry‑on baggage, while a 55‑year‑old Mainland female arriving from Bangkok was found with about 5.2 kg of suspected cannabis buds; both were charged with one count of trafficking and will appear before the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on October 9, and Customs said it will continue to step up enforcement through intelligence analysis.
