Ryanair will remove 700,000 seats from its 2026/27 winter schedule in Germany and will shut its Berlin base on 24 October 2026, reducing Germany’s overall capacity by 10% year‑on‑year. The Berlin operation, which currently runs seven aircraft, will see twelve routes cancelled, including services to Bologna, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Marseille, Palermo, Pisa, Reggio Calabria, Tallinn, Thessaloniki, Trieste and Vilnius.

At the same time, Ryanair is expanding its Cologne schedule by 10% and is urging the German government to abolish the air‑traffic tax, lower airport access fees and halve security and air‑traffic‑control costs.
