U.S. aviation fuel prices rise in September, jet A up 4.9% to $8.36 per gallon

National Jet A Full Service averaged $8.36 per gallon in September, a 39‑cent or 4.9% rise from August, while the Lower 48 average was $8.31 per gallon, up 5.1% month‑over‑month.

In the Eastern United States, Jet A Full Service jumped 7% to $8.69 per gallon, the largest regional increase, and Great Lakes Jet A rose 6.4% to $7.94 per gallon. 100LL Full Service was $7.75 per gallon, up 2.8%, and 100LL Self Service was $6.67 per gallon, up 2.5%, with self‑service offering roughly a 14% savings versus full service.

Since January, Jet A Full Service prices have climbed 32.7% and 100LL Full Service prices have risen 21.7%.
