Volotea has filed for pre‑bankruptcy proceedings with the Barcelona 9th Commercial Court and continues to sell tickets for upcoming flights.

The airline’s sustainability plan calls for reducing its fleet from 44 aircraft to between 30 and 35, while reporting a loss of 46.1 million euros in 2024 and a loss for 2025 reported as either 64 million euros or 94.2 million euros in commercial register filings; it also estimates fuel price increases cost about 150 million euros.
