Thai Airways announced it will clear 5,000 bags that have been stranded at Suvarnabhumi Airport after the airline halted operations following a court order tied to a 22 billion‑baht loan dispute.

The luggage has remained at the airport since the suspension of flights on 29 October 2022, and the carrier has been dealing with financial difficulties for several years while trying to recover from a 2020 crisis.
