NJ Forest Fire Service orders tenants to vacate Aeroflex‑Andover Airport by year‑end

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service issued eviction notices to tenants at Aeroflex‑Andover Airport (12N), requiring them to vacate by December 31, after notifying them in June that their hangars would be torn down because of critical repair and condition issues.

AOPA officials say the hangars are historically and architecturally significant and in overall excellent shape, and independent engineers found that remediation would cost far less than demolition, contradicting the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection assessment; AOPA is seeking a meeting with Governor Mikie Sherrill to keep the hangars open.
